Running Win7 Home Premium.  Recently updated Malwarebytes to v4.0.4.  So MWB is running in the tray, I double click it and it opens, I click the GEAR ICON(settings) and it goes back to the tray instead of presenting settings options.

Secondly, when I log into my.malwarebytes website and click the SETTINGS link at the top I do not reach any settings.  See image to see where it takes me.

Seems you are using AVG/Avast

Try this first, Add the following exclusions to AVG/Avast

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbae.sys
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbam.sys

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\MbamElam.sys
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\MBAMChameleon.sys
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\MBAMSwissArmy.sys
C:\Windows\system32\Drivers\farflt.sys

Add to Process exclusions the following files. (copy and paste works best on these)

C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\MbamPt.exe

C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\mbam.exe

C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\assistant.exe

C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\malwarebytes_assistant.exe

C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\MBAMWsc.exe

C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\mbamtray.exe

C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\MBAMService.exe

Folders
Also the MB folder in Program Files and the one in Program Data (it is hidden by default)

C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes
C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes   (Enable hidden files to add this one.)

Then do a clean install with the support tool and after that then add AVG/Avast to Malwarebytes allow list.

Another thing you will have to do is enable UAC settings back to default. Malwarebytes as well as many other programs rely on these settings. Yours are set to OFF.

UAC Settings
==================================
EnableLUA:                      Off
Consent Prompt Behavior Admin:  Off

You are welcome. Sometimes when using another AV with MB you need to make exclusions in both programs to resolve conflicts.
