Offline Installer and Rules - Where?

Recommended Posts

I need to be able to install Malwarebytes Anti-Malware to scan a Windows10 PC that cannot be connected to the Internet.

Where can I download the full MBAM 4 offline installer, not just the MBSetup.exe stub?

Also I need the offline Rules update zip file.  Where can that be downloaded?

TIA

The 150 MB offline installer may be downloaded from https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb4_offline

The so called offline "mbam-rules" download and procedure ended and is no longer viable.

Also be aware that Malwarebytes now includes multiple cloud based heuristics components that cannot function if Malwarebytes is unable to access the web during scans (and the same goes for multiple protection components in the Premium version).  These components rely on real-time data and threat analysis and updates direct to and from Malwarebytes' Machine Learning servers.

Ok, thanks for the info.  The offline scanner should work well along with other tools as a first line check, then once the machine is cleared I will connect to the Internet and rescan.
