Safe browsing scanner?

Recommended Posts

Hello guys. I use the premium version of Malwarebytes on my windows 10 pc and on my android 10 phone. On my Windows system I can see the web protection working, it blocks IPs and malicious website without a problem, but on Android I haven't been able to comfirm. I'm using Chrome on both, so it should be working, and Malwarebytes is telling me safe browsing is on (have it turned on in accessibility settings), but when I try to open the same malicious/phishing websites on both my PC and android, they seem to be blocked on my laptop but not on the phone. The Malwarebytes IP block test site isn't blocked either. Is there a way that I could test if Malwarebytes is working as intended on my android device? Thanks in advance.

Like other types of malware, the database of virus patterns on computers and phones is completely different.  About malware-infected websites, you may be infected through your computer when you visit those websites.  Meanwhile, you can't get infected on your phone, so you only get a few warnings about phishing sites that aren't blocked on malicious websites.  I use Google Chrome on both.  Note, your Android device will be infected only when you install applications on the Google Play Store that have not been carefully scanned and unknown APK files.
