[ RESOLVED ] Help me get Malwarebytes onto my new computer

Recommended Posts

If you don't help me get Malwarebytes onto this new Windows 10 computer, I will update my credit card so the charge will fail when it is auto renews Dec 22 or 23. I have emailed for support several times and can't find any other place to email. So tomorrow I will disable that credit card unless you provide some help.

Please start by creating an account at My.Malwarebytes.com if you haven't done so already, if possible using the same email address you used when you originally purchased your license.  You will find instructions on how to do so in this support article.  Once that is done you should be able to use the Deactivate all function to reset your license/devices so that you may activate your license on your device again.  You may refer to the information in this support article for more details.

If that does not resolve the issue then please contact Malwarebytes Support directly by filling out the form on the bottom of this page and they will assist you in getting your license working again.

I hope this helps and if there is anything else we might assist you with please let us know.

I already filed a request at "this page" you sent me to but no one is responding to me. I got to where I downloaded, installed, and tried to activate. I was asked for license number which I got at malwarebytes website. When I enter that license and try to activate it says the license is no longer active. I think that is the terminology. So I get email it is set to renew on 12/20 but I can't get it working on my computer. I've had this computer for a few months but didn't do anything about malwarebytes because AVAST was already installed and I was too lazy (burned out actually).

I don't have a ticket number. Yes I checked my junk folder. I suppose they are all on Christmas vacation. On 12/18 I replied to the original email I got from Malwarebytes. I remember that about a week ago I went to website to find where to send email and maybe I even sent other emails but no replies on any. Only their original email that they will auto renew.

Home support is not by sending an email but creating a ticket on the link I showed. If you used that form at the bottom of that page in the link, you should have received a email response with a ticket # right away.

Did you type in your correct email address?

Hi.

I regret that you are having problems.

1)  If you did indeed create a Support help ticket,  you will get a automatic  ( automated ) reply to the Email address you typed in.   It is a first reply, and is machine automated, and will have the Ticket number.

2)  If you created the ticket today, it likely will not be answered today.   And weekends  ( Saturdays & Sundays are lightly manned).  It usually takes 2 or 3 business days depending on volumes, before you get a agent replying to you.

3) My understanding is that the Malwarebytes for Windows is installed on the pc.   Right ?

My understanding is that the activation or re-activation of the license is the current issue.  Right ?

Would you check something out?   Can you login on the MyAccount page and simply only just see what it says about the status of your subscription license ?

I mean just a look see.   What you need to see is, whether your License is shown as currently activated or not activated.

Just please do not post any part of the License Key(s)  in public.

Assuming you bought licenses directly from Malwarebytes, you would have supplied a Email at the original purchase.

That same email is what you should use to login to Malwarebytes MyAccount.

https://my.malwarebytes.com/en/login

If you have misplaced or do not have the password for that login, use the blue "Forgot password" link.

Keep in mind that the Email has to be valid and active.

Login and see what it says there.

https://support.malwarebytes.com/docs/DOC-1264

We here can help you activate the Premium license   ( unless  there is a issue on the MyAccount base).

We would need to know if your pc has Version 3.x  of Malwarebytes or otherwise, if it is version 4.0.x

I posted the ticket yesterday morning but got no reply at all. I just posted again after conversing with Pothos. I went to my.malwarebytes account and sent him a screenshot of it to his private email. He said it should work. Everything looks fine until I activate then it says:

MBAM403102
The current license entitlement has expired

I got my account from you when I had a Windows 7 computer and everything was fine. That computer stopped running so I bought this used Windows 10 and they put AVAST on it. I was exhausted and burned out so I just put off doing anything about Malwarebytes but I like it better than AVAST. So when my renewal notice came in I now have to get it onto this computer.

I think it's version 3 premium (paid)

More than one support ticket will not help.  That is to say, one is all that is needed.

You may expect an answer from support next week.

You indicate switching to another hardware.  Did you de-activate the License once you stopped using the 1st  ( old machine ) ?

Thank you Porthos for your help here  & for relaying the info.   I coached Arlener a  bit.

So anyway, all is well finally. And thank you both for all of your help and your time during vacation and such.

That is indeed excellent news.  Please be sure you save a printed copy of your License Key  and put it in a safe place.

I did feel sure that the  license renewal would take place on time.   and it did.

I am very happy for you.
