Malwarebytes Causing Outlook Problems

Updated to 4.0.4. this morning and Outlook 2010 immediately became slow at downloading and sending emails. Images in emails are especially slow to download in the reading pane.

Sending basic text test email take over 30 seconds to send whereas before I estimate it took 1-2 seconds, basically instantaneous. This is a backward step in productivity.

Is there good reason for me to put up with this? Or can it be fixed?

This thread is about Outlook 2016 and is from well over a year ago so it is likely unrelated to the issue you are experiencing.

With that said, in order to troubleshoot the problem we will require additional details about your system and Malwarebytes configuration so please do the following:

  1. Download and run the Malwarebytes Support Tool
  2. Accept the EULA and click Advanced tab on the left (not Start Repair)
  3. Click the Gather Logs button, and once it completes, attach the zip file it creates on your desktop to your next reply
