An error occurred - during installation

Hi.   Let's start by having you delete this very old  setup file    D:\Arne\Downloads\mb3-setup-consumer-

The Malwarebytes for Windows installation needs to be re-built.   We will use the Malwarebytes Support tool.

Be real sure you Save the download first.  And be sure to have lots of patience.   The tool has 2 phases with a Windows Restart in between.

If it does do a Restart, be real sure to have lots of patience for the tool to reload  .....wait for it  whatever amount of time it takes.


Please try uninstalling and reinstalling Malwarebytes for Windows using the Malwarebytes Support tool.

Please have lots of patience with the tool.  The first phase is a cleanup and does require a Windows Restart.
After the Restart, it may take 2 - 3 - 4 minutes till the Support tool screen shows up.   Please be patient and have faith.  Wait for it, whatever it takes.
The 2nd phase is where it offers to do a new Install.

Let me know if this run clears up the issue or not.
