Slow after update to version 4

I'm having the same issue. As soon as I upgraded to 4.0 my pc is frozen. I can't even uninstall, it's stuck.

I have two pc's and 4.0 worked fine on one, but today the other upgraded and now it's dead.

Not sure what to do, since any help will involve getting error logs, and monkeying around with my frozen computer, which is impossible.

Thanks, I think I fixed it.

At first everything was slow, as others had mentioned.

Then I unticked the web protection (it helped the guy in the other thread) but that shut off my internet and froze my pc.

I ended up rebooting a couple times, managed to find the cleaner/reinstall tool.

Seems to be working OK now.
