DisplayFusion?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Can you zip up and attach the file in question please?

C:\PROGRAMDATA\BINARY FORTRESS SOFTWARE\DISPLAYFUSION\DISPLAYFUSIONSETUP.EXE

The folder ProgramData will be hidden so you either need to show hidden files or you can copy/paste this path into a new explorer window:

C:\PROGRAMDATA\BINARY FORTRESS SOFTWARE\DISPLAYFUSION

Then grab a copy of displayfusionsetup.exe, zip it and attach it.

Thanks!

I'm putting out an update that should fix the issue but I'll need a copy of the file so I can confirm that particular file is indeed OK.

Thanks!

THanks.

It will take about 15 minutes to finish the update & should be good. I'll reply again once it is out.

THanks for reporting!

Should be good
For anyone watching, depending on the version of Malwarebytes you are using, fix is in the following databases:
MBAM2 Version: v2019.11.17.02
MBAM3 Version: 1.0.13367

MBAM4 will follow shortly.

Definite false positive. I checked it through Virustotal and Malwarebytes is the only program that is detecting this file as having a trojan. However, since it was an older setup file for the DisplayFusion program I went ahead and let it quarantine it anyway.

Virustotal does not update as often as we do so it will be a bit behind in reporting clean/infected.
