Mac desktop & laptops vs ipads

Recommended Posts

All your iPad coverage will need to be purchased from the Apple App Store (their rules). If they are configured with different AppleID's you can use Family Sharing in order to only have to pay once for those.

The Macs can share a Premium for Home license which is good for up to three computers.

Actually, that's not correct. According to Apple's rules, in-app purchases (such as the Premium subscription for our iOS app) are not allowed to be shared over Family Sharing. The subscription can be shared among all the devices signed in to the Apple ID used to make the purchase, but cannot be shared via Family Sharing to devices signed in with other Apple IDs.

We're working on plans for how to allow more flexible purchasing options outside the App Store, but it'll probably be a while before anything like that is ready.
