Recurring Pup.Legacy

Purrington

Recommended Posts

Recently ADWCLEANER has been detecting a Pup.Legacy.

Sometimes I am able to send the PUP to Quarantine Heaven.

But other times this fails and it takes multiple attempts for purge the pesky pup.

Nonetheless the bad boy keeps returning.

Can you advise me how to permanently get rid of it?

Attached find ADWCLEANER Log Report.

Thank you

This is an update to advise that the Legacy.PUP issue remains unresolved.

In my own feeble attempt to resolve the issue I have:

Reset my Chrome Browser; Turned Off Chrome "Syncing"; Run Hitman Pro; Run TDSSKiller; Run RKill,  Run Zemana AntiMalware; Run CCleaner.

All of this to no avail.

Attached is a more recent ADWCLEANER debug file.

Assistance would be appreciated as I am approaching my wits end.

Thank you

Oops....I downloaded FRST but when I double clicked on it to open I got a warning message from windows defender which blocked it from opening. [see attached screen shot]

What should I do?

Thank you
