Problems after upgrade

Yesterday I had an upgrade to the version shown in the attached.  Since then the icon in the system tray shows "Protection Disabled".  When I open Malwarebytes I can see that the Malware protection button is switched off as in the second image.  However there appears to be no way of sliding the button to the right.

Looks like there was some corruption during upgrade and hence your Database version is 1.0.0.

Can you please try this. 

Can you please get the build again from this post: 

Run the installer on top of the existing product and let us know if that fixes the issue.

We will go over the logs and look for the root cause of your issue.

Sorry the mentioned steps made it worse for you.

Let's try this:

1. Run the mb-support tool.

2. Go to Advanced options pane and click on "Clean"

3. Wait for cleanup to finish. Tool will ask you to reboot.

4. After reboot you will see the "Install latest version of malwarebytes" on your system message box.

5. Click on "NO"

6. Run the MB 4.0.3 installer downloaded from https://malwarebytes.app.box.com/s/3kw7vdtf7fkacyh29hinb271advadyjw

Let us know if that worked.
