New Protection Modules/Technology

Recommended Posts

Greetings,

There is currently a new beta for Malwarebytes version 4 available for public testing if you'd like to check it out and see what it has to offer.  You can find out more about it here as well as here.  As far as protection goes, so far the only major change I know of is a more advanced Machine Learning/heuristics detection component implemented in both the real-time protection and scan modules that is very aggressive for detecting new/previously unseen/unknown threats.

As far as the other features you mentioned, you should check out Malwarebytes' business offerings, in particular Endpoint Protection and Response which includes features such as a flight recorder for detecting breeches and other incidents and analyzing detailed events, endpoint isolation for when a compromised endpoint is detected as well as Ransomware Rollback which can be used to restore an endpoint to a previous uninfected state.

I haven't heard anything about intrusion prevention or network attack prevention, however they do generally play things pretty close to the chest for any new tech that is still under development or still in the planning phases so anything is possible, however I will pass on your request to the Product team for review and consideration either way.

I hope this helps, and if there is anything else we might assist you with please let us know.

Thanks
