AdwCleaner not working on Windows 8.1

Hi

The title pretty much sums it up.

I have two PC's: one that runs Windows 8.1, and the other runs Windows 10.

AdwCleaner works on Windows 10, but not on Windows 8.1.

I also tried to run AdwCleaner on two more Windows 8.1 PC's; no luck.

"AdwCleaner" folder is created in the boot drive when I first try to run it--with admin privileges. When I try to run it afterwards-- with/without admin privileges-- nothing happens.

Version I tested was 7.4.1

Am I doing something wrong?

Is this a bug?

Help would be appreciated

OK, please zip and attach the folder C:\ADWCleaner to your next reply.

In case you need instructions on how to do so, it would likely be easiest to right-click the folder and select Copy then right-click somewhere that you have full write permissions such as your desktop and select Paste then right-click the copy of the folder you copied in the new location and hover your mouse over Send to and select Compressed (zipped) folder and attach the resulting ZIP file to your next reply.

Thanks

I tried AdwCleaner on two devices running Win 8.1 (Home and Pro editions.)

Home edition device has latest version of Malwarebytes installed, and is running smoothly.

Pro edition device doesn't have Malwarebytes installed (not my device and owner doesn't want it installed.)
