Total Security - Unable to Remove

I have tried every instruction given in these forums and others. I cannot remove the Total Security trojan. Any suggestions?

I was even desperate enough to restore my system and it has even blocked that option. I cannot do a system restore. I'm unable to run the hijack this program, malwarebytes, trendmicro. They begin to run and then disappear as it recognizes them I'm sure. I've tried searching for log files to delete them, add remove programs won't run. I've even downloaded and renamed these programs on an external drive in an attempt to fool the trojan to fix or remove it with no success.

Talk about desperate! Any suggestions or instructions are greatly appreciated. It's my work computer and I have work that needs to be done! Please please please help me!

Scan and post logs - read note at bottom in green

If you're having Malware related issues with your computer that you're unable to resolve.

1. Please read and follow the instructions provided here: I'm infected - What do I do now?

2. If needed please post your logs in a NEW topic here:Malware Removal - HijackThis Logs

3. When posting logs please do not use any Quote, Code, or other tags. Please copy/paste directly into your post and do not attach files unless requested.

* Please do not post any logs in the General forum. We do not work on any logs posted in the General forum.

* Please do not install any software or use any removal/scanning tool except for those you're requested to run by the Helper that will assist you.

* Using these other tools often makes the cleanup task more difficult and time consuming.

* If you have already submitted for assistance at one of the other support sites on the Internet then you should not post a new log here, you should stay working with the Helper from that site until the issue is resolved.

* Do not assume you're clean because you don't see something in the logs. Please wait until the person assisting you provides feedback.

* There are often many others that require assistance as well, so please be patient. If no one has responded within 48 hours then please go ahead and post a request for review

* NOTE: If for some reason you're unable to run some or any of the tools in the first link, then skip that step and move on to the next one. If you can't even run HijackThis, then just proceed and post a NEW topic as shown in the second link describing your issues and someone will assist you as soon as they can

I cannot get any logs. It will not allow me to operate anything. It won't allow viewing of files, etc.

If I need to restore my computer please explain how I can do so. Even in safe mode it will not allow me to use the restore function.

I cannot get any logs. It will not allow me to operate anything. It won't allow viewing of files, etc.

If I need to restore my computer please explain how I can do so. Even in safe mode it will not allow me to use the restore function.

The same thing has happened to one of my machines. Just like yours, it won't allow anything - I can't bring up task manager, I can't go on the internet, I can't view any files, I can't restore.

It blocks the existing Malwarebytes and Spybot already on the system when I try to run it. I can't even get the MB dialog window to stay up - it flashes then disappears.

If anyone knows if there is any fix at all for this, I'd be happy to hear it. Happy is kind of an understatement, actually. Thrilled, ecstatic, joyous...right now I'm thinking we may have to trash the hard drive altogether.

Please follow the instructions by prairie dog Your logs need to be examined in The HiJackThis Forum. A forum you have not been in here yet! After the experts Look over Your Logs. They will get your PC fixed up! Thank you & regards...

EDIT: If you cannot create any logs, The HiJack Log Forum has the tools to get what they need to get you running! regards

I believe what yardbird is trying to tell you is to go to the hijack this forum regardless of ability to post a log or not. Make a new post in there, and write exactly whats going on with your computer and what may have led up to the infection, and what exactly happens when you try to clean up your system (or what isn't happening).

As the green portion of yardbirds and prairie dogs reply indicates, if you are unable to do any of the steps, to simply make a post describing your problem :)

Problems such as this one are not worked on in this forum, only the HijackThis forum :)
