Hi there . :)

I come up with an interesting issue with a new problem of the Malwarebytes version 4 beta . the problem is that when I had to double-clicking on MBAM tray icon to open the GUI and the program goes unresponsive (Malwarebytes not responding) and then it show the "MBAM" name in the header instead of the "Malwarebytes premium" so the MB v 4 beta it will either be crashed or unresponsive or even both at this point !

Has anyone’s facing the same issue ?

here a screen grab of the problem :)

my Malwarebytes version is 4.0.2 beta

My OS is windows 10 home edition 64-bit

Hello,

Thanks for the report.

Could you generate a memory dump of mbam.exe whilst it's in the hung/not responding state? To do so:

  • Wait for the Malwarebytes user interface (mbam.exe) to become unresponsive.
  • Open Task Manager.
  • Look for either "mbam.exe" or "Malwarebytes" in the list of running processes.
  • Right-click the process and click Create dump file.
  • A file named mbam.exe.dmp will be saved to your %temp% folder.
  • Please zip this file up (right-click -> send to -> compressed (zipped) folder) and attach the file or upload it to a file hosting service of your choice.

Could you also run the Malwarebytes Support Tool and gather logs: https://support.malwarebytes.com/docs/DOC-2396

@LiquidTension I was able to gets a few of full/complete crash dump files in a specific folder that I’ve create it for the my device drivers files and this is with the help of an great utility which it will be automatically generated a mini or full/complete dump file for you .

my windows system has no folder called crashdump even though this is a fresh OS of the windows 10 version 1803 but it got the forced upgrade to Windows 1903 by Microsoft and however by use one of your script for maybe 2 or 3 time it finally had the crashdump folder back in there :) thanks to you

also there are no any dump file for Malwarebytes in crashdump folder but there been a crash dump file for other apps . so I will upload the ones that was created by that utility but first let me how would you wish to I grab the dump file for you and I ask this because I had to have MB v4 beta uninstalled .

do you want the ones that were created by that utility or should to create the dump file via task manager ?
