What is the best antivirus to use with Malwarebytes?

Recommended Posts

I'm planning to put Malwarebytes on all the computers on our network after a major infection.  We were using Avast Free.  Looking for the best AV to use with Malwarebytes.  What does everyone like?

Thanks!

Many of our users simply run Malwarebytes Premium alongside the built in Windows Defender that ships with Windows and it's proven to be an effective combination that is also light on resources.  Of course there are alternatives, and if you would prefer to use something with different capabilities and/or different features, there are free options available from the likes of AVG, Avira, Avast, Bitdefender, Kaspersky and Sophos to name a few, and of course there are paid options available from a wide array of vendors, though many of them tend to include a lot of features that you may not necessarily need, but of course that depends on the types of features that you would find useful in your particular environment.

Agreed. Windows Defender on Windows 10 along with the Premium version of Malwarebytes works very well in my opinion.

The following information will really help you maintain your privacy better as well as better protect your system and data going forward. I can't stress how helpful and important it is to have and use Adblockers today.

If you're not backing up your data and you're still using Google Chrome then you're just not serious about Privacy, Safety, and protecting your data. Malwarebytes is a fantastic program but you still need to back up your data and you still need to block scripts and Ads in your browser.
If you're still using Google Chrome I would highly suggest you consider using Firefox instead. For more advanced users you might consider installing NoScript as well (it does have a higher learning curve though)

Windows Defender is a good choice to run with Malwarebytes but its a standalone antivirus and I think you should rely on one. Running multi antivirus software is never really good!
