False positive dgVoodoo

Recommended Posts

Hello, I was trying to run some older games and needed to use a program called dgVoodoo that helps to run them in modern hardware and resolutions.

Running a scan shows "machinelearning/anomalous.100".

Attached to this post is the complete files that I got when I downloaded it.

dgVoodoo2_53.zip

Hello,

Thank you for reporting this. This has been fixed and should be reflected in our next database update.

Again, false detection for version dgVoodoo2_62_2 you can download from: http://dege.freeweb.hu/dgVoodoo2/dgVoodoo2_62_2.zip

I didn't see any database rule hitting this file but I've whitelisted it

If the detection persists, please attach a log showing the detection

Regards

It is being blocked by web protection both in the program and the Browser extension.

Thanks. I've removed that web protection rule. An upcoming database update should resolve this. Sorry for the inconvenience

Not only that. Also the ZIP file itself and its content 'dgvoodoocpl.exe' is incorrectly detected as malware:
