Confused which forum needed

Recommended Posts

I find the various links for contacting Malwarebytes very confusing.  I have had a lot of trouble signing in and suspect that I am not always signing in to the forum  I have registered for.  I havd been in correspondence with Malwarebytes but in spite of copying the address of an email received from support.forum Malwarebytes says my user name and address is not recognised.  But when I try to register a new account Malwarebytes says my username is already taken ! Trawling the web for info,   I found a different URL today (https://forums.malwarebytes.org).  Although it did not recognise my password it recognised my username and email address and allowed me to change the password. But I could not register or sign in to the offered link for starting a new topic.  I suddenly found myself on this page for creating a new topic tho not sure how.

I have a Malwarebytes account but thought I had temporarily disabled it as it did not work with Bitdefender.  This week I tried to temp uninstall Bitdefender to run Malwarebytes but cannot find Malwarebytes on Control panel of my laptop.  Bitdefender is saying my laptop is clean but it is not and I need to use Malwarebytes to check it. I have most certainly had a couple of viruses (confirmed by Bitdefender's own scans run by me).

Please help.

Greetings,

I just wanted to check in and see if you were able to get the issues resolved that you were experiencing and offer assistance if not.  If your system is still showing signs of infection then please read and follow the instructions in this topic then create a new topic in our malware removal area by clicking here and one of our malware removal specialists will guide you in checking and cleaning your system of any remaining threats.

I hope this helps, and if there is anything else we might assist you with please let us know.

Thanks
