tonyMac Posted August 29, 2019 ID:1331897 Share Posted August 29, 2019 Hi, I am using Malwarebytes Premium for Mac. On my most recent scan a item was detected and Quarantined. As this is the first time ever such a thing has happened I simply deleted the detected item. I realise now I could have safely left the item Quarantined. And as further updates happen it would be rescanned and maybe found to be a false positive. In any event I would like to read the Report and note the object which was found, quarantined, deleted. All I can see to do is Delete scan Reports by selecting them. Are the Reports held on the System so I may access and read them. I want to research the file that was detected. I panicked I guess and deleted it without noting what it was. Thank You.

Maurice Naggar Posted August 29, 2019 ID:1331908 Share Posted August 29, 2019 (edited) Hi tonyMac There is a Mac user guide here https://support.malwarebytes.com/docs/DOC-3396 If you go to the Reports section and look at the list of "scan" reports, double click on the one you need, you will see it in your text processor app.https://support.malwarebytes.com/docs/DOC-3394 You may also click the Quarantine button at left, to see what is in Quarantine. Maurice Naggar Posted August 29, 2019 ID:1331983 Share Posted August 29, 2019 Keep in mind, I am more used to the Windows program. Nevertheless, when looking at the REPORTS screen, did you put a tick mark on the line for the report and then click on that ? Anyhow, let's have you do what follows, to run a tool, and then attach the ZIP file. See https://support.malwarebytes.com/docs/DOC-3235 Run that tool. When all done attach the file MWB_Info.zip into your next reply. Cheers.

I do not think that feature is in the Mac version of MB Thanks
Staff treed Posted August 29, 2019 Staff ID:1332000 Share Posted August 29, 2019 Malwarebytes for Mac does not currently offer the ability to view more details about scans and other events in the Reports tab. However, I'm curious why you're concerned the item in question may have been a false positive? Is there any particular reason for that concern? Yes, you could have safely left the item in Quarantine, but there is little to no reason to do that for an extended length of time. Items in Quarantine are never rescanned, False Positives have been extremely rare and even if it was there would be no notification.
