MB 4 issues - Dell Inspiron 3521

Recommended Posts

Installed over the previous beta, and would not start.  So, I uninstalled MB 4, rebooted, deleted the MBamService folder in %ProgramData%, then again installed this ẞeta.

Now, it does not seem to auto start (I'm going to reboot again and leave the laptop alone for 30 minutes), and the FP tracker app (same one I've been using) will not produce an output to the desktop.

Windows 10 x64 Pro Insider Preview build 18965.1000 (yes, I know build 1005 CU is out - hasn't appeared on this machine yet, so I plan to try updating to that first).

I *do* have the FP_tracker folder from my %TEMP% folder, if that is helpful - I only found a single item on this machine, which might be a FP, but since it is a browser cache item, it might not.

Attached is the scan report from the full scan I performed after the second install of MB 4.

Hi @John L. Galt,

Please gather logs using the Malwarebytes Support Tool and provide mbst-grab-results.zip:
https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/190532-having-problems-using-malwarebytes-please-follow-these-steps/

Also, please attach the following files:

  • %temp%\mbsetup.log
  • %systemroot%\temp\mbamiservice.log

-----

Is there a file named log.txt inside the %temp%\fp_tracker folder? If so, please attach this.
Do you have Windows Controlled Folder Access enabled? When FP Tracker is run, is any text outputted to the console window?
