Krusty Posted July 30, 2019 ID:1326393 Share Posted July 30, 2019 Hi Guys, MB has just started blocking both Norton and Microsoft domains as per the logs. I suspect these are false positives. Thanks, Krusty MB Block.txt MB Second Block.txt
DaenerysStorm50 Posted July 31, 2019 ID:1326416 Share Posted July 31, 2019 I also signed up to join here to report this. These reports really worried me, https://prnt.sc/om8br3 https://prnt.sc/om8bvz Is somebody tampering with my PC? What are those blocks? Am I in some kind of danger? jweiss Posted July 31, 2019 ID:1326419 Share Posted July 31, 2019 I just got a forum ID to ask about that same issue. In my case it's blocking google analytics, google ID, and etc. Just started 20 minutes ago. No malware detected on my computer when I ran a scan either. Darwyn Posted July 31, 2019 ID:1326421 Share Posted July 31, 2019 @Krusty Yes the same thing has been happening to me today. I whitelisted the Norton folder, but now google files seem to be getting affected too. If need be I can also run the support tool. -Darwyn

jweiss Posted July 31, 2019 ID:1326428 Share Posted July 31, 2019 If it seems to be happening to multiple people, either involving google or microsoft or norton, at roughly the same time, I wonder if it's an issue with a MWB update rather than malware attacks? DaenerysStorm50 Posted July 31, 2019 ID:1326429 Share Posted July 31, 2019 Oh, I think this is a general issue. I really worried.
Newb Posted July 31, 2019 ID:1326433 Share Posted July 31, 2019 A update that was released a few minutes ago fixed this issue. In case anyone is still browsing the forums and worried.
Darwyn Posted July 31, 2019 ID:1326437 Share Posted July 31, 2019 @jweiss Yes that's what I figured, that Malwarebytes was returing false positives on these analytics tools. Especially considering that every time I click on a link to anything in Chrome, it blocks googletagmanager and optimizely, which are both Chrome tools.
