Hello,

My CPU is really hot without any program running, I think this is probably a trojan coinMiner or a malware. I tried everything I know, looking for suspicious activities in services, running software. I scanned my laptop (in safe mode too) with Kaspersky Total Security, Malware Bytes, Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool, adwcleaner... Nothing has been found. My knowledge ends here (I'm learning) and google too. I'll be happy if someone fix my problem and take his time to explain how he did it.

Thank you in advance.

Hello KidyToon.

Is this machine a laptop / notebook ?  If yes, it is quite possible ( especially if the hardware is a few years old) that the internal battery is over-heating.

As you touch the touchpad or any surface of the notebook, if you feel it Hot .....that it is the hardware that is the source of the over-heating.

Any over-heating is a danger to the health of the hardware.

You mention running scans with 4 security tools.  The Malwarebytes for Windows found no malware.  Malwarebytes for Windows Premium includes protections against coin miners that are hijackers or dangerous to your machine.

IF your hardware is still overheating, I would suggest you checkout, review, and use the help resources at Tom's Hardware forum

So, I cleaned my CPU fan again (minutely this time), it seems that my laptop is no longer overheating, I will test it this week and I will give you feedbacks on the next weekend.

My environment was hot too. I think the dust and the heat may be the cause but I wasn't sure and my computer had some strange behavior (prudence is the mother of safety)

Anyway Thank you again.

True enough, gunk around cpu fan is a root source for overheating hardware.   I am glad that you spotted that and took care of it.

Dust and heat are not things anyone wants around any computer or electronic device.

Always happy to help.   Let me know if you need other help.
