I just bought a 4 years key. When I tried to activate it, MB showed me the message: "installation_token Not Found. There is a problem with the license key and we were unable to activate your license. Please check your key again. If you continue to have trouble, please contact Malwarebytes Support for assistance"

I tried several time getting the same message.I tried restarting my computer and entering the key afterwards. Still getting the same message. I have tried deleting the program and reinstalling a newly downloaded copy from Malwarebytes. I tried downloading the MB Cleaning tool, uninstalling that way and re-installing it again. After which I would try to activate it and still getting the same message.

If you haven’t already done so, please run the Malwarebytes Support Tool and then attach the logs in your next reply:

NOTE: The tools and the information obtained is safe and not harmful to your privacy or your computer, please allow the programs to run if blocked by your system.

  1. Download Malwarebytes Support Tool
  2. Once the file is downloaded, open your Downloads folder/location of the downloaded file
  3. Double-click mb-support-X.X.X.XXXX.exe to run the program
    • You may be prompted by User Account Control (UAC) to allow changes to be made to your computer. Click Yes to consent.
  4. Place a checkmark next to Accept License Agreement and click Next
  5. You will be presented with a page stating, "Get Started!"
  6. Click the Advanced tab on the left column

  8. A progress bar will appear and the program will proceed with getting logs from your computer

  9. Upon completion, click a file named mbst-grab-results.zip will be saved to your Desktop. Click OK
  10. Please attach the file in your next reply. Before submitting your reply, be sure to enable "Notify me of replies" like so:

Greetings,

I noticed several entries for various VPNs/Proxies on your system.  Please try temporarily disabling all of these and then attempting to activate the software once more.  If it still fails then please contact Malwarebytes Support directly by filling out the form on the bottom of this page and they will assist you.  Please allow at least a few days for them to respond as there have been a large number of support requests recently.

Additionally, while you are waiting for Support to respond to your ticket, once 24 hours have passed since the last time you tried to activate the software, try to activate it one more time as sometimes this has been found to work when there is a problem due to too many failed activation attempts within a short timespan.
