registered on forum, different than malwarebytes homepage?

Recommended Posts

have owned malwarebytes for years , legal copy , lifetime sub........

just wondering, I have registered on this forum.... sign in and out no problem...

but when I go to malwarebytes home page and try to log in using email/password

from this forum ...... get a error saying email or password incorrect ..... I've tried

at least 5 times and get same error..

So, was wondering if you have to create separate accounts for malwarebyte home page

and malwarebytes forum ????

thanks for any answers........

Hello @joebytes and welcome back:

I am strictly guessing.  However, I suspect you are selecting "My Account" from the "Sign in's" drop-down menu.  Yes the password criteria has undergone a security upgrade that requires an better password.

The next time you visit My Account, select "Forgot password?" and create a new safer & more complex password.  Please post a reply to this topic with your success.

Thank you.

Hello @joebytes

The main web page has no login

The Support page does have a login - however it is there because we use Jive for our Support page, but we don't use the forum feature so there is no login for it. Please ignore that entry

The login page for My Accounthttps://my.malwarebytes.com/en/login
is not related to the Forum name and password used here, at all and are completely different. I would highly recommend you do not use the same password for the My Account page as you do for the forums here. You can use the same email address, but please do not use the same password. Every site you log in to should always be a unique password not used on any other site. Do not ever use Facebook or Google automatic logins. If that gets compromised then you risk every account linked/used will be compromised as well.

Use Password Management software

KeePass Password Safe

I hope that has answered your question but if not please let us know

Thank you
