Another Lifetime License lost

Recommended Posts

But I'm old and tired so I just give up. At my age I don't have a clue when or under what name I'd bought the licenses (or which license goes on which PC), only that it was as many as 10 years ago. I expect things like this from Windows 10 updates which is why I run Win 7 and 8.1. Seems like Malwarebytes could have at the least sent an email telling us to register each PC with our accounts ? I had 5 PCs running Lifetime licenses until a year ago and lost two but was able to recover one. I just Won't update the three that still work and  I'll just run the free version on those two until I get a MAC in 2023. Great product but this is ridiculous

Hi,

Sorry to hear of your troubles.  Can you at least go into each of your machines,  each of Malwarebytes.   Make a inventory for your own benefit.

To see which machine is using which license.

Start Malwarebytes.  Click Settings.  Click "Account Details" tab.   See what license key set is in use.  Keep your list for each machine.

Please see the pinned suggestions by DCollins
Having Licensing Issues after a Malwarebytes Upgrade
https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/249141-having-licensing-issues-after-a-malwarebytes-upgrade/

Note that the PRo Lifetime license is one license, one Windows pc.  One to one.

If you have 5 machines, it would call for 5 different licenses.

or else, a Premium subscription license with a adequate number of seats.

Sincerely,

Hello @Bat-1

If you can make a forum account and post you've spent more time then it takes to either set up a My Account page or fill out a form and have a support agent do it with you. It really is so much easier than posting over and over here on the forums.

It's up to you but as long as they're legal licenses you haven't lost them and support can assist you even in the future, but it's so much easier to do it on your own if you'll just take a few minutes to get it set up.
