High CPU usage until i open task manager

Recommended Posts

Hi,

For the last few days, my laptop is using 100% of it's CPU every time i do basic stuff i used to do before (open chrome, a word or a pdf file etc.).
When i open task manager, CPU is descending to normal.

I ran Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and AdwCleaner but they didn't find anything.

My Farbar recovery scan log files are attached.
Can you tell if something is wrong?

Thanks!

Hello @pumba102 and :welcome:

Please go to Control Panel, Programs, Add/Remove and uninstall the following software unless that version is mandatory for a programming job you're working on. It's always best if possible to be on the latest version of Java.   https://java.com

Java 8 Update 191

I see that Malwarebytes is crashing. Please see if the following removal and reinstall corrects that issue
https://support.malwarebytes.com/docs/DOC-2674

You may want to also run a disk check on the C volume.

From an elevated admin command prompt type in

CHKDSK C: /F

It will say the drive is locked. Press the Y key to allow it to run on reboot.
Then reboot and let it run.

Let me know if that helps resolve your issues or not.

Thanks

Ron
