Trojan in mbamservice.exe?

Recommended Posts

I have installed Malwarebytes Anti Malware on my machine. 2 days ago I updates it to the new version und made a scan. After that I noticed that the mbamservice.exe made a TCP connection to the IP address 143.204.101.104 on port 443. It belongs to Amazon's Cloudfront. Is that okay?

I also scanned the file for viruses on Virustotal and Metadefender. Here the results:

https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/fbf070c27cea4c9e4e9ccf184b121e339338090656253f5d78cc97b62d79e008/detection

https://metadefender.opswat.com/results#!/file/bzE5MDIxNVNKMGxNSDFvRVNFcjFaODRwdzdnUw/regular/overview

Are these false positives or is the file infected?

I also scanned the install file on the Malwarebytes website, named mb3-setup-consumer-3.7.1.2839-1.0.586-1.0.11260. Virustotal found the same trojan:

Is that okay? Am I too paranoid or is the Malwarebytes Version I have an infected one?

You seem to have a problem with this file through the size and the Hash number..

This file is checked from my computer, pay attention to the size 6.43 MB and the different Hash number
