BGendreau1 Posted June 27, 2019 ID:1319196 Share Posted June 27, 2019 Following a scan whenever I try to open Firefox a Why Did We Send you Here? page comes up with instructions for restoring start pages, search engines, and other settings for Firefox, Chrome, and Explorer. I followed the instructions for Firefox and nothing happens. The Why Did We Send you Here? page simply re-appears. I have lost access to Firefox until this is resolved. It sounds like the Firefox has a home-page / start page hijack. Please go thru the Firefox preferences for home page, Start page, and search engine preference and put your own choices there. Maurice Naggar Posted June 27, 2019 ID:1319207 Share Posted June 27, 2019 When you see that displayed on Firefox ( that is to say, Firefox is up and running) Click with your mouse onto the address bar of Firefox and then copy & paste the address https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-set-the-home-page Look at the directions there and making your changes in Firefox. To get & install the Malwarebytes beta Firefox extension. Open this link in your Firefox browser: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/malwarebytes/ Then proceed with the setup.
