Web Protection blocks Outlook from contacting my Comcast email server

Recommended Posts

When I turn real time web protection OFF, my Outlook can contact the Comcast server.   None of my other email addresses launched from Outlook have any problem with web protection ON, only Comcast.

I would like to have web protection ON and to be able to send and receive Comcast email in my Outlook program.

Any thoughts on how to resolve this?

Thank you.

Greetings,

Please do the following so that we might take a closer look at your Malwarebytes installation to try and determine why it might be blocking your emails:

  1. Download and run the Malwarebytes Support Tool
  2. Accept the EULA and click Advanced tab on the left (not Start Repair)
  3. Click the Gather Logs button, and once it completes, attach the zip file it creates on your desktop to your next reply

Thanks

Thanks.  It may be due to a known issue with Web Protection in version 3.7.1 of Malwarebytes.  Please try installing the new beta build 3.8 by opening Malwarebytes and navigating to Settings>Application and enabling the option under Beta Application Updates then scrolling back up to the top and clicking on the Install Application Updates button and allowing it to download and install the new build, restarting your system once the installation completes if prompted to do so, then test to see if the issue is resolved.

Please let us know how it goes and if the problem persists.

Thanks
