Basically you were scammed by someone on Amazon. You say you no longer have that account, but Amazon will have the record forever. They do not delete their financial records simply because someone no longer uses the account or forgets the password. I'm sorry to hear that you were scammed by someone on Amazon. If it were more recent it's possible that Amazon might have helped you but if it was many years ago that reseller was probably already found and black listed from their seller accounts.
