Suspicious Outbound Connection

Recommended Posts

I have had Malwarebytes Premium for a couple of years now. Today when I visited the DIY network or HGTV I started getting notifications that an outbound connection was blocked. I exported the info & a attached it as a .docx to this post. I visit these sites almost every day and today is the first time that Malwarebytes has blocked & notified me regarding the attempted connection.

Greetings,

It appears that an ad embedded in the page you were viewing was blocked by Malwarebytes.  Many sites have rotating ads from multiple sources embedded in their sites from different ad vendors and sometimes one or more of these ads is either hosted on a server that is also known for hosting malware, or it may even be a malicious advertisement (malvertisement) used for spreading malware using exploits and drive-by attacks.  It is quite normal for this sort of thing to happen and doesn't indicate that your system is infected, it's just Malwarebytes doing its job to protect your system.

I hope this helps, and if there is anything else we might do to assist you please let us know.

Thanks
