Some music-bar looking thingy appeared with the text "chrome.exe" on it???

Can somebody explain what the hell is this?

Why does this exist? Why did this only appear when I updated Google Chrome?

That left thing? It was okay! No one wanted that stupid music-looking bar for a DAMN BROWSER....

This only appears when sound is detected on Chrome.....

How do I remove this? Tell me.

(I haven't found a good place for this post so please tell me if this is in the wrong place.)

I found the solution.

Type in your browser bar

chrome://flags/#hardware-media-key-handling

and then set Hardware Media Key Handling to disabled, restart and that bar will disappear.

I'm glad you found the answer.  I just saw your post and noticed that the item on the left looks like the volume slider.  Nice detective work on figuring out what it was.
