Old ID And Key Tag Won't Work......

Recommended Posts

I purchased malwarebytes about a year after they came out. I was always happy with it's performance blocking even the most nasty viruses. I have a old ID and Key number that am having trouble using. I was "grandfathered" in and should not have to pay yearly. When I installed it on my new computer, I received a message "must de-activate on other applications" or something like that. I have never shared this ID and Key number and only have used it twice previously. I emailed Malwarebytes and they informed me to send them a copy of my receipt. I no longer have the receipt and where I purchased it (Tigerdirect) went out of business. Now they refuse to respond to me. I want to use my original ID and key numbers. What can I do? Sorry if this post is not in the right section. Thank You for any suggestions.

I remember something about swapping the two numbers we got on old purchases. Don't know if still counts ? If you still use the email you registered with go to

https://my.emsisoft.com/login  and set up your account. What they meant was that you have to deactivate the program on old computer if you can. All that info is on that website.

Excuse me, but the link above is not for Malwarebytes.

What did support say about the License keys?

Is it a one seat perpetual license?   Did they find it to be already activated & in use?

The original one-time only pay licenses are only for use on one Windows machine.

It seems that the Exception you describe is one that points to Maximum license seats exceeded.

How many other Windows pc's are using this same license?
