Hello, I don't know where here to post this so apologies if General Chat isn't the correct place. so I was curious on how I can get Firefox to let me visit a safe game website, it loads the website and it won't load the game cause it says "connection is not secure." And I can't figure out on how I can get it to not block the game from loading, can someone help me out with this please? Thanks! (The game is offical, it's not anything pirated or dodgy.)

Hello @Hyperwolf122:

It is impossible to know without all the relevant details.  It may be as simple as the exclusion of using a properly secure protocol.

If you are interested in having this pursued at a professional level, please reply with the site's URL placed between BBC "Code" tags.

Thank you.

Hello! Thanks for your reply, it's

It has a grey pad lock due to it being not fully encrypted is the issue that I noticed

Mozilla's Firefox has reported the highlight of what is at fault.  Additionally the site wants the user to use the risky Adobe's Flash Player for their content where much of the industry has converted to the much safer HTML5 content.

According to the following report, the site owners may not be taking the important security steps to protect their users:

(BTW - the immediate above is the product of using BBC "Code" tags instead of "Quote tags.)

Those with their own computer security in mind would ask if this site's content is worth the risk.  If you ignore all the above, you would do well to run any downloaded executable content through VirusTotal.com for a cursory check of digital signatures and malware content.

Be safe out there.  Practice safe hex.

Sorry for using the quote instead of the BB tags there! Thank you for the information, I wish the site owners could do better with their security, Virustotal showed the site as clean but it is unfortunate that they arent being the most secure with their site with Adobe Flash and such.

There's really nothing wrong with Flash.  Like any code, the code can be made to be malicious which does not seem to be the case here.  Market forces are pushing it to be replaced by HTML5.

You can have Firefox allow the Flash content to be rendered.

I'm not sure if I was doing it properly, but I pressed the lock button then went to "more information" at the bottom and went to permissions and unchecked default and then pressed "allow" on flash but when I reloaded the page it still wasn't working unfortunately

Hello @Hyperwolf122:

Although I too have Adobe's Flash plugin (NPAPI) installed in Mozilla's Firefox v67.0.1 (x64-64-bit), I have it set to the "Ask to Activate" option.  That way I still have some control over the outcome if I have a choice.  It is approaching one year since I used the plugin.
