Think I may have a virus and mbam isn't removing it

Recommended Posts

When I check the task manager the CPU is at 100% being used by programs it wouldn't usually be working that hard for. I tried RKill and Mbam but neither have worked (but Mbam did pick up 2 files which I deleted) the problem persisted though. The sound seems to be have disabled as well and various apps are hanging and not loading parts.

Appreciate any help, cheers

Hey sorry I've been really busy but I was on my computer this evening and I saw that there was a Windows update so I pressed restart now but when the computer turned back on it went to a strange 'bios update is process do not turn off your computer' and I thought it looked like malware so I held down the power button. Is there anything I can do?

Sorry just an update - tried turning on pc this morning and it won't start at all. The LED lights of the keyboard come on but the screen stays black.

Well shutting down the computer while an update is not a good thing to do.

If you do not have the Installation disk for the system you may be able to download it from the net or the Manufacturer.

What Operating system do you have Windows 10, 7 or other.
What is the Manufacturers' name.
