My PC might be running a RAT, Please help me remove it.

Recommended Posts

I was playing a few hours earlier and my PC started acting weird, tabs being opened by themselves and keys and clicks without my input, This is clearly the signs of RAT and I've had hard time trying to remove it.

I ran a couple of full scans to see if that would find it but it did not, I tried looking in task manager and other places for suspicious programs but there wasn't any, The only thing I've caught was an Inbound connection by a Trogan report which was located in my wininit.exe file, I've attached it below.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello @Badjo and :welcome:

The logs do not indicate that there is any infection on the system. I see you ran AdwCleaner as well as TDSSKiller those should also confirm no real threat issues. Let me have you run the following full scan from Kaspersky though as a secondary check.

Please download and run the following Kaspersky antivirus scanner to remove any found threats

Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool

Let me know if it finds anything or not

Sorry for the late response, I ran the scanner and nothing came up, I think it's safe to say nothing is on my system unless it's a really really nasty piece of malware.

I'am pretty sure I saw some weird activity going on but it must be from the game I was playing, Thanks for responding, Have a wonderful day!

Yes, the system should be clean. Let me post the following for you to help ensure it stays clean going forward

Let's get real. If you're not backing up your data and you're still using Google Chrome then you're just not serious about Privacy, Safety, and protecting your data. Malwarebytes is a fantastic program but you still need to back up your data and you still need to block scripts and Ads in your browser.
If you're still using Google Chrome I would highly suggest you consider using Firefox instead. For more advanced users you might consider installing NoScript as well (it does have a higher learning curve though)
