MachineLearning/Anomalous.95%

Recommended Posts

While trying to install a beta version of the backup software - SyncBackSE V9, I got a false positive warning and a file was quarantined. While the installer did run, I believe MalwareBytes quarantined a part of the installer. You can download the SE V9 installer here:

(64-bit) https://www.2brightsparks.com/assets/software/new/BETAV9/SyncBackSE64_Setup.exe

(32-bit) https://www.2brightsparks.com/assets/software/new/BETAV9/SyncBackSE_Setup.exe

Both 32 and 64-bit variants are affected.

Here is the quarantine report:

Hi,

I installed both - but can't reproduce detection, so this might have been fixed already.

Do you still get a detection? If so, can you send the exact file being detected? C:\Users\conrad_chung\AppData\Local\Temp\is-FO8RV.tmp\Update3to4.exe

Thanks!

Hi, we decided to remove the offending Update3to4.exe from our installer. Easiest solution, i guess. :)

Thank you. You can close this case.
