PS.

Be aware that crack / hack tools / "Keygens"   are very ill advised & that they often come bundled with severe malware.

There are 2 things that need to be deleted.

These lines in the Windows Hosts file have got to be removed.

Host data:    127.0.0.1    geoip.avast.com127.0.0.1                   keystone.mwbsys.com
Host data:    127.0.0.1 keystone.mwbsys.com

Use this guide

.

Confirm this is done.   There is much more to do after.

Thanks for the log file.   You should be able to start Malwarebytes for Windows.

Do so.

See what the Dashboard screen shows.

.

I believe this PC also has BitDefender antivirus.    That may need some adjusting so that it treats Malwarebytes as a trusted application.

There is a definite infection now that prevents most all security programs from running.   Not only just Malwarebytes.

Be sure to not play any games online or offline.  Be sure to do no web surfing of any sort.

Do not do anything else on the web.

This infection has to be cleared up first.   and then later, some serious scans to double check.

Do not run other programs.  Close any programs to you started on your own.

This next procedure may well do a Windows Restart when it finishes.

.

[ 1 ]

I am sending a custom Fix script which is going to be used by the FRSTENGLISH tool. They will both work together as a pair.

Please RIGHT-click the (attached file named) FIXLIST and select SAVE AS and save it directly ( as is) in the Downloads folder

The tool named FRSTENGLISH is already on the Downloads folder.

Start the Windows Explorer and then, open the Downloads folder.

Double click FRSTENGLISH to run the tool. If the tool warns you the version is outdated, please download and run the updated version.
Click the Fix button just once, and wait.

FRST_Fixl.png.f6242e7068345c6b4ac3f30c89bf5622.png

PLEASE have lots and lots of patience when this starts. You will see a green progress bar start. Lots of patience. Some machines take longer than others.
If you receive a message that a reboot is required, please make sure you allow it to restart normally.
The tool will complete its run after restart.
When finished, the tool will make a log ( Fixlog.txt) in the same location from where it was run. Please attach the Fixlog.txt in your reply.

[ 2 ]

Next, after the above is done, let's do what follows.

Please read all of these lines first so that it is all clear to you about our plan. I need a one time run of MBAR like listed here, please.
Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit (MBAR) from here this link
and save it to your desktop.

Double click on the MBAR file and allow it to run.

•Click OK on the next screen, to allow the package to extract the contents of the file to its own folder named mbar.

•mbar.exe will launch automatically. On some systems, this may take a few extra seconds. Please be patient and wait for the program to open.

•After reading the Introduction, click 'Next' if you agree.

•On the Update Database screen, click on the 'Update' button.

•Once you see 'Success: Database was successfully updated' click on 'Next', then click the Scan button.

With some infections, you may see two messages boxes:

1.'Could not load protection driver'. Click 'OK'.
2.'Could not load DDA driver'. Click 'Yes' to this message, to allow the driver to load after a restart. Allow the computer to restart. Continue with the rest of these instructions.

•If malware is found, press the Cleanup button when the scan completes. .

please also attach these logs are located in the mbar folder on your desktop where the tool extracted itself to.

mbar-log-2019-05-22  or 05-23  (xx-xx-xx).txt** (where xx-xx(xx-xx-xx) is the date and time of the scan)
+ also
system-log.txt

Keep me advised about all this.

Cheers,

fixlist.txt

Thank you for the reports.   Well done.

The infection should be squashed by now.  If you had not done a Restart since then, I would suggest one Restart.

I would expect that now, Malwarebytes for Windows can be started manually.

Lets do this one time run.

Run a scan with Malwarebytes.
Start Malwarebytes from the Start menu.

Click Settings. Then click the Protection tab.
Scroll down and lets be sure the line in SCAN OPTIONs for "Scan for rootkits" is ON
Click it to get it ON

Click the SCAN button.
Select a Threat Scan ( which should be the default).

When the scan phase is done, be real sure you Review and have all detected lines items check-marked on each line on the left. That too is very critical.

Then click on Quarantine selected.

Be sure all items were removed.   Let it remove what it has detected.

When that is completed, kindly send the report.
In Malwarebytes.
Click the Reports button ( on the left )
Look for the "Scan Report" that has the most recent Date and time.

When located, click the check box for it and click on View Report.
Then click the Export button at the bottom left.
Then select Text File (*.txt)

Put in a name for that file and remember where the file is created.

Then attach that file

Thank you.

That is a very good run.  The prior infection is gone.

I would suggest just one more run with Malwarebytes for Windows  & lets make sure that one is all Clean.

.

In addition:

The Windows Defender in Windows 10 is a excellent powerful tool.   I urge a thorough scan with Windows Defender.

Windows 10 has the Microsoft Windows Defender which can run the Windows Defender Offline scan.
Windows Defender Offline in Windows 10 can be run directly from within Windows, without having to create bootable media.

Click the Windows Start menu button on the Taskbar, select Settings icon. Then choose Update and Security.
Then look on the right hand side and click on Windows Defender.
Then, scroll all the way down on the scroll bar, down to where you see "Windows Defender Offline"
Click on the button Scan Offline to start the process and let it scan the system.

Keep in mind that the design and what is scanned by Windows Defender is a whole different design from Malwarebytes. But do let me know how this scan goes and what the result is.

Cheers,

The Adware.Elex.ShrtCln  was removed.

You should probably turn off the Google Chrome Sync feature.

to go to https://www.google.com/settings/chrome/sync and sign into your account.
Scroll down until you see the "reset sync" button and click on the button
At the prompt click on "Ok".

.

The next thing I would like you to do is to run the cleanup tool from Chrome - https://www.google.com/chrome/cleanup-tool/
It is made specifically by Chrome to cleanup Chrome browser.

.

As to Windows 10 & Windows Defender,  look on your Windows 10 Settings & the display screen on Windows Security.

Click on "Open Windows Security".

if still have a problem, click on the line "Virus and threat protection .....actions needed".
