Greetings,

Without more details there is no way of knowing if the file in question is malware or not.  I would suggest uploading the file to VirusTotal.com to see if any of the AVs there detect it or not, however based on the name it appears to be a temporary file created by some program's installer.  That said, if you believe that your system is infected then I would recommend following the instructions in this topic and creating a new topic in the malware removal area including the requested logs and information by clicking here and one of our malware removal specialists will assist you in checking your system for threats and helping you to remove any that are found.

Thanks for your reply.

I guess the matter is settled since  the file in question has disappeared !

It may have been remnants of an application that I had previously deleted from my PC.

Anyway, thanks again.

P.S. : This post should be considered answered.

Yes, that's typical for files in temporary locations like that to be culled/deleted.  That said, just keep an eye on things and if you notice any odd behavior from your PC definitely come back and follow the instructions for posting in the malware removal area, but honestly I don't think the file was an infection and I don't believe you have anything to worry about.

I'm glad I could help, and if there is anything else we might assist you with please don't hesitate to let us know.

Thanks
