In the meantime, unfortunately if you wish to download the latest version you will have to do so manually. If you wish to do so you may acquire it from this page and the direct download link can be found here. I will report this issue to the Developers so that they may investigate and fix the issue. Then, manually download from the usual highest integrity source: https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/adwcleaner This way, the previously saved Malwarebytes AdwCleaner logs (if any) are retained.
