Malwarebytes for Mac does not interfere in any way with network connections, nor does it interfere in any way with printer driver installation. Unfortunately, this is simply the first thing that support reps for printer manufacturers blame when you have trouble... it seems to never be their problem if you have antivirus software installed.

If Epson support will not provide further help to you while you have Malwarebytes for Mac installed, you can temporarily uninstall it (choose the Uninstall option from the Help menu within the Malwarebytes app), then reinstall after your support session with Epson is complete. Be sure you've got your license key handy, if you have one, as you'll need it to re-activate Premium on reinstalling.
