Stop Malwarebytes to automatically start at boot

Using 3.7.1 free on Win10. Expired, I just use it as on demand scanner (it's the best).

I do not want to MB to automatically start at boot. I used to be able to do this but not any more with a new version.

I do not see option in preferences. Although I'm logged in with admin powers I cannot change service from auto to manual.

How to I do this? Thanks

Hi   

 

Start Malwarebytes.
Click Settings button ( on left).
Click the tab marked "Account Details" ( it is the 5th tab in the settings screen )
You should then see a button marked "Deactivate Premium Trial".

Next, click the button on the left marked "Settings".
Scroll down to the section marked "Startup Options".
Look at the line marked "Start Malwarebytes at Windows startup" and click that to OFF.

I don't see a button marked "Deactivate Premium Trial". Such a button is not there. There's account details - listing the details, a button "Go to my Account" (which opens a web browser),  and two button at the bottom "Activate License and another button "Upgrade Now". That's all that's there on Settings -> Account Details tab. Nothing saying "Startup Options" is there.

Any help appreciated.

Please open Malwarebytes and navigate to Settings>Protection and under Startup Options toggle the setting Start Malwarebytes at Windows startup to Off and restart your system to verify that it no longer runs on boot.

yes, I saw it, and then there was a "Start With Windows" check in the tray icon that seemed to appear later and I unchecked that too. It solved it. Thank you for the help.
