Greetings,

To get a refund for your license please refer to the information in this support article or simply fill out the form on the bottom of this page to contact Malwarebytes Support and inform them of your desire for a refund and they will assist you.

Regarding these repeated detections, assuming the instructions provided by AdvancedSetup above worked to resolve the issue, then the reason this detection kept recurring wasn't due to a failure on the part of Malwarebytes, but was actually caused by a 'feature' in Google Chrome where it automatically synchronizes your settings (including your installed plugins/extensions, such as the one being detected by Malwarebytes) every time you start the browser and go online.  Unfortunately this means that if you remove a plugin/extension that is actually malicious or undesirable, it will return again automatically as soon as Chrome syncs up your profile again.  This setting can be changed, however the default is for it to do this each time the browser is launched whenever you are signed in to your Google/Chrome account (this is the reason the stickied topic AdvancedSetup referred you to exists to begin with, because it is quite a common issue due to this browser functionality, making it very frustrating to try and remove an unwanted browser plugin/extension).  This is one of several 'features' that I personally do not like about Google Chrome, and a large part of the reason I refuse to use it as my browser (I use SRWare Iron instead, which is a Chromium based alternative that strips out all of Google's built in tracking and advertising and uses different default settings to provide greater control over the browser's behavior).

Hello @Derrall

You're certainly welcome to a refund no issues, however, this specific issue would be present in any security program as it is Google Chrome that is storing, saving, and then once again restoring the bad file. We do remove the file, but Google Chrome restores it. Any other program that cleans safely will have the same issue. We are more than willing to assist you with cleaning this up, and what that article explains and attempts to do for you. If you'd still like to proceed and obtain a refund though please follow the directions posted by @exile360 above.

Thank you again

Ron
