Also,

I just want to make sure that your problem is with Firefox and that your have executed the following.

Syncing issue check it out just in case.

If the problem persists and you are Syncing Firefox it with other Devices reset it.
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-set-sync-my-computer

Restart the computer normally.

When all is well you can re-sync your devices.

If you have executed these inltuctions and the problem persists continue.
If all is well stop here.
====

If the problem persists.

Do a Clean boot in Windows 7

Click Start and type msconfig in the search box.

Press Enter.

On the General tab, click Selective startup.

Clear the Load startup items check box.

Click the Services tab.

Select the Hide all Microsoft services check box (at the bottom).

Click Disable all. <- This will disable all services except the Microsoft services that were hidden in the previous command.

Click OK.

Click Restart.

If the computer start normally and all is well then one of the services you disabled is the culprit.

1 - Now to do some troubleshooting enable the first 4 or 5 services were your click disable previously.
Restar the computer normally.
If all is well it means that services are good.

Repeat item 1 above and enable an other set of services Do more then 5 if you want.
Restart the computer normally.
If all is well then continue as you did and set  other services.

If at any time at the Restart the problem returns it means that one of the last services you restore is the bad one.

By trial and error you should be able to identify it.

To return to the normal boot do this.

After completing your troubleshooting, restore your system by doing the following:

Click Start and type msconfig in the search box.

Press Enter.

On the General tab, select Normal startup.

Click OK.

Click Yes when asked to restart your computer.
