Mbam through a Security Alert Popup when I attempted to Dnload a NAV software update for my car's NAV system via -- www.mapnsoft.com --.

I Clk'd Allow Anyway and I continue to get the Security Block PER JPG Below -- Hover to see Full Domain shows Only -- www.mapnsoft.com --;

-- www.mapnsoft.com -- was Added to Mbam Settings / Exclusions.

MapN-Soft Sppt says Corp IT people have called with Security Certif issue and wound up DISabling AV-FW protection during Dnload -- BUT - Dis-abling ESET EIS Protection AND FW - - hasn't helped. Have Disabled ALL 4 Modules of Mbam -  and SuperAS Real-time -- and EVERY Security Extension in Firefox 66.0.4 ( Mbam FF Extension, uBlock Origin, HTTPS Everywhere).

Since Mbam was the Only App to bring a Popup I'm starting here. Any Help is appreciated.

Greetings,

That pop-up isn't from Malwarebytes so it appears that Windows is blocking it, possibly due to a bad/expired security certificate or some kind of policy restriction on the machine.  I would suggest following the instructions in this topic and creating a new thread in the malware removal area by clicking here and one of our malware removal specialists should be able to help or at least advise on what is blocking it and why.

Thanks. Only started here because Mbam raised the initial Security Alert.

No Edit again Repeat; How did we get From -- possibly due to a bad/expired security certificate or some kind of policy restriction on the machine -- to scanning for malware with Farbar?. The MapN Soft Sppt guy sounded as though they were use to Certificate issues but turning Off AV-FW must usually work.

With ESET, Mbam, SuperAS I'm wondering WHY ONLY THIS SITE is an issue - and it's malware?

The same tools used for advanced malware diagnosis/detection can also be used for things like checking security certificates, registry and GP policy restrictions and other potential causes for the application being blocked by the OS.  Those tools aren't used in this area of the forums since they can carry risk in untrained hands so I referred you to the area where you'll receive assistance from an individual that specializes in the use of such tools.  They should be able to locate the cause of the issue so that you can work around it/fix it and get your software installed.

SOLVED

Involved "Click Once Trust Prompt" behavior

\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\.NETFramework\Security\TrustManager\PromptingLevel

Make "Internet" member "Enabled" vs Disabled - I typed the word as Dbl-Clk did nothing. Clk on setup.exe produced "Do you want to Install This App?"

All is well!!  Thanks again exile360!!
