I've already submitted a ticket for this. However, while I wait, I was curious if anyone else has ran into any issue where Malewarebytes premium randomly switched back to the free version? Just happened to me on two different computers with different licenses for lifetime use. The one I had registered on my Malewarebytes account and was able to wipe all devices for it. I was able to activate that license again.

However, I had forgotten to register the other and when I try to activate it on the same exact computer it was installed on before, it tells me the license is already activated. I'm also unable to register it on my Malwarebytes profile so I can deactivate the devices, as it says it is invalid.

If you haven’t already done so, please run the Malwarebytes Support Tool and then attach the logs in your next reply:

NOTE: The tools and the information obtained is safe and not harmful to your privacy or your computer, please allow the programs to run if blocked by your system.

  1. Download Malwarebytes Support Tool
  2. Once the file is downloaded, open your Downloads folder/location of the downloaded file
  3. Double-click mb-support-X.X.X.XXXX.exe to run the program
    • You may be prompted by User Account Control (UAC) to allow changes to be made to your computer. Click Yes to consent.
  4. Place a checkmark next to Accept License Agreement and click Next
  5. You will be presented with a page stating, "Get Started!"
  6. Click the Advanced tab

  7. Click the Gather Logs button

  8. A progress bar will appear and the program will proceed with getting logs from your computer

  9. Upon completion, click a file named mbst-grab-results.zip will be saved to your Desktop. Click OK

Greetings,

There have been several users reporting licensing issues recently.  Apparently Malwarebytes has recently made some improvements and changes to their licensing management and activation systems which is leading to these issues, however based on what I've seen so far, once you are able to get your license(s) sorted, that should fix it going forward so that you'll be able to manage them easier through the My Account portal at My.Malwarebytes.com without having to worry about needing to contact Support every time there is an issue.  Once Support gets your second license fixed and associated with your account it should be just as easy to manage that one as the other one that you were able to successfully manage and deactivate through the web portal, it's just a matter of getting all of these legacy licenses synced up properly which I believe is a big part of what's going on with these recent changes.

Anyway, I hope that clarifies things a bit.  If there is anything else we might assist you with please let us know.

same thing happened to me  just  applied an windows 10 update now told im only getting basic free bytes wont let me log on to my account says email not recognised what to do next

cant log in as says my email addy not known  help with this would be appreciated

I just tried to activate on my mothers machine using a key and ID I purchased in 2013 and it gave me a message saying its been blacklisted.

I bought several key with CDs back in the day for me and all of my family members.  Is this going to happen to all of them?

 I would encourage you, ( and anyone else having similar issue)  if you have not already done so, to create a Help Ticket with Support.   This forum can only provide you generic type help.

When creating the ticket: plug-in the same Email address as you had used at the time of purchase
+
Provide them the License Key at issue &
the Exact error message last displayed.
+ number of times this License has been activated by you.

Provide the detail and submit the ticket.
