Unable to deactivate my ID/LICENSE

Recommended Posts

Hi,

first of all sorry for my English.

I am making an upgrade from one of my two PCs. The upgrade is to move Windows from an standard SSD to a new NVME. I have cloned the original disk to the new NVME but I forgot to deactivate my ID/LICENSE before doing it.

Now, In my new NVME, everything is ok but malwarebytes tells me that my ID/LICENSE is already in use. After a few hours I have just remembered that I did no deactivate my ID/LICENSE in the the SSD. Fortunately, I have both disks, the old SSD and the NVME.

I have force to boot from the old SSD and there, malwarebytes is activated, but when I click in the "deactivate my license" a pop-up appears, I click yes, but nothing happens (see attached file)

I need help in order to deactivate my ID/LICENSE in order to re-activate it in my new NVME disk

Thanks in advance.

Greetings

Greetings,

The easiest way to fix this would be to sign up at My.Malwarebytes.com using the same email address you used for purchasing Malwarebytes by following the instructions in this support article and then using the option to deactivate the previous device/installation using the option described in this support article.

If you still have trouble then simply contact Malwarebytes Support directly using the form on the bottom of this page and they will deactivate it for you so that you may use it on your new drive/installation.

Please let us know how it goes and if there is anything else we might help you with.

Thanks

Hi,

thanks for the quick answer.

I have another license from another pc (a gaming pc). If in the problematic pc (my daily pc) I do a "change license key", does it automatically deactivate my problematic ID/LICENSE?

As I say, I have two different license, but I don't remember the mail associated with the one that now I can not deactivate.

Greetings

Yeah, that's because it's still got the same problem and you need to deactivate one of them in the online system at My.Malwarebytes.com.  You should be able to just deactivate the one that you want to without messing with the other one, but if you still have trouble you can contact Malwarebytes Support and they can take care of it for you and lookup your license info if you need it.  Just use the form I linked to in my post above and they will help you out.
