Lifetime Licence ended

Recommended Posts

For those of us who enjoyed a Lifetime Licence as early adopters seems like time is up or am I the only one?

The software has only been used on this one home PC but reinstallation is no longer allowed and I've no access to my account to manage events.

Strange that I can still log into this forum but not my account .. oh well!

Greetings,

They did make some recent changes to the licensing servers so that's likely what's causing the problem.  That said, they are still honoring all legitimate lifetime licenses so if yours isn't working and you're having trouble using the My.Malwarebytes.com license management system then please contact Malwarebytes Support directly via the form on the bottom of this page and they will assist you in getting the issue corrected.

If there's anything else we might assist you with please don't hesitate to let us know.

Thanks

"You have not set up your account. Please check your email for instructions to set up your account."

When I try to log in  I get this but never receive an email ( not spam filtered )

The ticket system acknowledged my licencing issue but nothing else.

When setting up your account an email is supposed to be sent to your email address that you used for setting up your account with a link to click to confirm your account.  If this has not shown up yet then that could be the problem.  I will ask a member of Support to investigate and respond here.

@LiquidTension could you please assist here?  Thanks

Hi @nippa,

I've checked with the Support team and the response you received was automated. A Support agent will be responding to your ticket as soon as possible. Please note that tickets are worked in the order they're received.

Thank you for your patience.

Sorted...thanks

Once I'd been able to access my account and deactivate previous installations everything went back to normal.

My original password had been created so long ago that it appeared not to match modern requirements for the account pages  and yet still OK for this forum

Excellent, I'm glad you got it sorted :)

Yes, the accounts at My.Malwarebytes.com are separate from the accounts on the forums here (they are completely separate systems) so it uses its own passwords and requirements.

Anyway, if there's anything else we can help you with just let us know.

Thanks
