No internet connection to PC

So I'm hard wired first off. I've read through some other people having a similar issues, and it seems the response is to always download another program. I'm not the most tech savvy guy in the world, but with no connection, I can't download anything. I'm not sure what to do here...

What version of Windows runs on this PC ?   When did this issue first start to happen?   When was  the last time that the machine Did have a working internet connection?

You mentioned the machine is hard wired.   Is it fair to then assume that there is a cable connected from the machine & into the internet hardware router?

If you have Windows 10 or 8.1  or even Windows 7, I can likely guide you to using the Windows Network connection mini-app

But I need to know for sure what version of Windows.

 

Likewise, be in the know, that eventually we will need some report from the machine.  If you are a newbie to Windows technical stuff that is ok.

Q:   What were the last most recent changes or additions made very recently prior to this internet connection glitch?    Either hardware or software?

 

One other tip:   You can call your Internet Service Provider's tech support and ask for their help about the internet connection issue.

Thank you for the reply. I was actually able to fix it by deleting my PCIe drivers and rebuilding my network catalog. Thank you though.
