Malware.Exploit.Agent.Generic

Recommended Posts

Windows 10 Malwarebyte Premier does super job blocking this aggressive malware on my desktop.  But this nasty bit of work is still active and all Malwarebyte can do is block it. I want to find out how I can STOP it/obliterate It! from getting into my computer or hiding somewhere inside it. The report shows it seems its interested in my MS IE Explorer 11, or so the report indicates below:

This malware Malware.Exploit.Agent.Generic, has been blocked more than 7 times in 2 days.  Has anyone who is just dying to solve how to prohibit this bug from entering my domain offer any suggestions how to do this?  Rule 1. Buying a new computer is a no no.

Greetings,

It is possible that this is actually being caused by the browser itself.  Malwarebytes is configured by default to block VBScript in Internet Explorer so whenever IE tries to load vbscript.dll it will trigger the block/alert.  I have had this happen in the past with several Windows installations where for whatever reason the browser would sometimes attempt to load that DLL even though Microsoft has deprecated VBScript in IE meaning it shouldn't load, but something in the browser under certain conditions causes it to attempt to load the file anyway which triggers the block/alert from Malwarebytes.

That said, if there are any other signs of infection or you just want to make certain that the system is clean then please follow the instructions in this topic and then create a new topic in the malware removal area including the requested logs and information from the last link by clicking here and one of our malware removal specialists will assist you in checking the system for any threats and guiding you in removing them if found.

If there is anything else we might assist you with please don't hesitate to let us know.

Thanks
